It is estimated that around 1.3 billion people worldwide suffer from one form of vision impairment or another. That's a fairly large number, especially when you take into account that an enormous chuck of it (some eighty percent) includes problems that are avoidable rather than something one just has to live with.
The causes of these issues vary greatly, of course, but the avoidable ones can be corrected in certain ways. Different kinds of therapies exist for different kinds of conditions depending on their severity. However, one often overlooked remedy are vitamins.
Everyone has been fed the importance of vitamins at this point. And for a good reason, too - studies in the early nineteenth century discovered that animals fed all the crucial macronutrients like fat and proteins still can’t survive without the then unknown compounds we today call vitamins.
